I was commissioned to make this shire horse for Blenheim palace near Oxford. She was made on a steel frame and willowed in a dark brown willow with white willow mane and tail and feathering of her legs. She also has glass eyes and a ribbon in her tail. She was 17 hands high which is about 220cm to the top of her head. I nearly couldn’t get her out of my workshop! She had to be transported on a huge lorry as she was so large!
