These sculptures were commisioned by Joe Casely-Hayford, a very famous fashion designer from London. He’d been asked by the prestigious Dover Street Market shop in Tokyo to create a new ‘pop-up’ shop within their store, something that obviously sold his clothing but with a new and unique twist. So the brief ws to create 3 ‘creatures’ based loosely on british pagan mythology and so I came up with ‘Horse’, ‘Wolf’ and ‘Eagle’ heads. Then the bodies were thin and bulbous and horns and antlers were everywhere!. It was a very exciting brief to be given more or less free rein to play with and everyone in both countries were really happy with the results.
